Update #3 - The Note
I don't have much time to get into details right now. Just figured i'd get a post out.:
you know that zip file? i looked at the files, and one file i saw was a .pdf file named "Dear Grandson.pdf"
It was this:
Dear Grandson,
If you’re reading this note, then it means I’m dead. There’s a lot that has been hidden
from you and your mother, I’m sorry to dump all of this responsibility onto you, I just hope that
by the time you read this it isn’t too late.
The truth is, Lucetius Inc. & Gerald Hawthorne have unleashed something horrible upon
humanity, and knowingly caused the deaths of your father, and all of those other poor astronauts
that died on the Luceti-1, they lied to you and your mother saying this was some kind of
“accident”, this was no accident.
If you want to know the truth, we have left you everything you need, but if you wish to walk
away now and forget about all of this, I don’t blame you.
But I hope, for the sake of your father’s memory, that you continue on.
Love,
Markev Warders
Grandpa apologized for keeping this from us and said he left behind everything I need here.
I'm shook. I'll keep updating as I dig deeper, but felt i needed to update you guys sooner rather than later.
Wish me luck.

Update #2 - the Code
What's up guys Brian here with another update on the mystery box i got a few weeks ago!
So after my last post, I put a call out for any ideas on how to decode that weird text file on the SD card. I figured maybe it was some kind of code or cipher that could lead me to the password for the zip file.
Well, I got an email from a reader (thanks Alex!) who recognized the numbers as decimal code. For those who don't know, decimal code is where you convert the numbers into their corresponding letters/characters based on their position in the alphabet. Like 1 = A, 2 = B, etc.
Alex was kind enough to include a little decoding program they found online. I copied and pasted the numbers from the text file, ran it through the program, and...success! The decoded message was an actual Password:
"JWarders1979"
JWarders...alright...
So i was definitely wrong about the prank thing.
typed that into the zip file password and hey it works!!!, yaaaaaaay,....when i was unzipped it all though, what i saw... was this.
It's alot. but at least i have it all unlocked now, right?..I'll update y'all as i look through all this.

Update #1 - the SD Card
Hey y'all, it's Brian again with another update on the weird box I found, sorry i was gone for a day (school and other life stuff, y'know). Last time I went over the contents, but there was one item I didn't really look into - that snack container filled with paper.
1. I emptied out all the paper and there was something else at the bottom - a microSD card
2. Popped that into the tablet that came with the box, and it had a password protected zip file on it, as well as a text file.
3. Of course I tried all the obvious passwords - my name, birthdate, address, etc. No luck.
I'm honestly stumped at this point. The zip file is the only thing on the SD card besides this text file, and all that's on that thing is a bunch of numbers, so I have no clue what's inside or what the password could be.
I've tried every password I can think of to no avail. I'm at a total loss here. I'll keep messing with it, but if anyone has any bright ideas, I'm all ears! Maybe there's a clue I'm missing somewhere in the other stuff that came with the box.

the Box
Introduction
hey, my name is Brian Warders, and i decided i would create this blog to document my findings from a box that i found on my porch a few days ago.The Discovery
basically, me and my mom moved to Wyllowville a couple weeks ago, why? that i don't know, but hey it's whatever man. then one day i went on my porch to wait for my friend Jake, who wanted to come chill that day. that's when i found the box.the box had this patchwork of blue and purple tape all over it, and on the paper that was taped to it, it read "FOR BRAIN WARDERS ONLY, IF NOT BRIAN WARDERS, DO NOT OPEN!!!" the box was also tied shut with a shoestring, i picked it up and it was pretty friggin heavy, from there (stupidly i know) i took it inside, and it's been sitting inside my closet for the past few weeks not doing anything.
Initial Thoughts and Theories
1. my first theory was maybe it was just some weird prank from Jake, i mean he likes to do things like this to me all the time so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary.2. it was a stalker, and there's like some severed head in the box, although i don't really make anything in terms of online content so i don't see why anyone would stalk me, also it would have smelled.
3. it was a bomb.....well my room is still here so i don't think that's the case.
The Unboxing Process
1. untied the shoestring holding this thing closed, thing was kind of stitched in there so that was a pain in the ass.2. opened it up, and saw a couple shopping bags, i assume these were used as some sort of "packaging" to keep anything inside from being damaged.
3. i removed the bags, and inside i saw a few...interesting things to say the least.
Contents of the Box
1. a Surface Tablet, it was a bit dusty but i tried turning it on and it actually worked! so that's cool, hey, free tablet am i right? there was even a charger for it3. a map of Ohio with a bunch of X's on it.....?

4. a bunch of sticks and stones with a couple pieces of paper with words on them.....okay.

uh, well, that's about it for today, I'll let y'all know what else i can find from this thing lol.
see ya later!
remember if you have any suggestions as to what i should do with the box email me: wardersb@gmail.com
